How many eggs do you have?

Morgan and Evan had another egg hunt at Mom and Dan's house Easter Day with the eggs they colored the day before. I thought this was a cute picture. It's really hard to get a picture of them together being nice to each other. Posted by Picasa

Here We Are

Easter morning went pretty well with a few laughs I may add. Typically the Easter Bunny leaves the kid's Easter baskets on the kitchen table. Well this year the Easter Bunny thought he would mix things up a little and put their baskets on the dining room table. Well the kids wake up around 8am and run downstairs with out waking Todd and I up. Morgan comes in our room and says the Easter Bunny came last night and he left an entire bowl of candy on the table. Half asleep I say cool and that I will be right down. As I'm coming downstairs I look to my right on the dining room table thinking candy was going to be everywhere when to my surprise I see the Easter baskets untouched. I go in the kitchen and ask Morgan where her basket is and she says this all they got. I asked her if she saw the dining room table and I thought she was going to run me over getting in there. She said "Thank God, I thought we had been really bad this year and that the Easter Bunny didn't bring us an Easter basket and to be honest I was sort of disappointed" It was funny but sort of sad. What was in the bowl on the kitchen table was a bunch of left over candy that the Easter Bunny had no room for in the baskets. In the end Morgan and Evan loved their baskets and all the goodies in it! Posted by Picasa

Hold me Daddy :(

Well Evan would not sit still long enough for me to take a picture of him before the egg hunt but he sure was worn out after all was said and done. Did I mention he found the prize egg? Posted by Picasa

Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail

Our neighborhood has an Easter egg hunt every year for the kids. We have been going every year since Morgan was 2. It is tons of fun for the kids and all. Now onto to bragging rights. Not only did one of my kids find the prize egg but both of them found the prize egg in their age group. They each one a $5 gift card from Target. That's my kind of prize! Now I know everyone is thinking whoopee a $5 gift card from Target but I'm thinking my kids won the PRIZE EGGS!!!! With Evan scoring about 10 runs in his t-ball game earlier that day and both of the kids "hunting" down the prize eggs it was a proud day in the King family.......:) Posted by Picasa

Pink is my Favorite......

After Evan's game we all came back to Mom and Dan's place and colored some eggs for Easter. Well the kids colored some eggs and the adults had a few cocktails. And yes, Evan favorite color was pink and Morgan is still concerned :) Posted by Picasa

T-Ball Update

Well leave to Evan to make up his own rules for T-ball. We all know he like to run and this boy can run fast. T-Ball can get a little boring standing out in the field so Evan made his own excitement. He decided that when the other team was up to bat that every time they hit the ball he would run from 2nd base to home plate, tell the umpire that he scored then immediately out to the bleachers where were sitting and tell everyone that he scored. Oh, and then told this other lady that he was going to color Easter eggs today! When he was finished announcing his big news either he would run back out on the field (2nd base) or Clayton's dad would lift him over the fence and send him on his way. And in case you are wondering when it was his turn to bat he did really great and would stop at first. He really did score 2 times not the 6 or 7 times he thought he did. All in all it was great game for Evan and entertaining to all the fans!

Look what I can do......

I had to show off my self portrait skill. Apparently after a few drinks I'm not to bad at extending my arm and taking a picture. I won't put everyone to sleep with all the pictures I took like this plus I don't want to look like I'm bragging with my new found talent :) Oh, and I meant to cut off the top off Todd's head if that's what you all are thinking....hehe!! What a fun night and I wish everyone could have been here to celebrate 60 wonderful years of my Mom. Posted by Picasa

Margarittaville Club

Well I had to post a picture of the charter members of our Margaritta club down here. Every Monday and Friday we get together after work and have a few margarittas. Anyone is welcome but the only thing is you have to bring your own bar stool :)
I thought this would a good shot of Mom's new necklace Dan got her. It is so beautiful. Doesn't Aunt Cathy and Amber look great? Told you Mom had a great time :) Posted by Picasa Oh, by the way I have no idea if I'm spelling Margaritta right......

Happy 60th Birthday Mom!

All I can say is Dan really out did himself on this one. Not only did he get Mom a beautiful Omega necklace for the 60th birthday but he also got her 60 yellow roses (her favorite), and oh and limo took friends and family out to Copelands for dinner. No kids I may add!!! We all had such a great time and Mom was in rare form :) Happy Birthday Mom and thank you Dan for making Mom feel like a queen!Posted by Picasa

All in the Family

My brother, his wife Kelly, and my niece and nephew came down for a visit a couple of weeks ago and we had a great time. Kelly and I went to Lenox Square and well she shopped and I just looked around. :) We all trucked it down to the GA Aquarium and oh boy is all I can say. I was a nervous wreck keeping track of all the kids. Evan has officially met his match with his cousin McKenzie. All I kept hearing all weekend was how much Kenzie is just like her Aunt Nikki. Poor John and Kelly. I had this photo blown up to a 8x10 and framed for Mom's 60th birthday present. I think she really liked it. It sort of amazing seeing all the life Mom has created. Updates of her 60th b-day coming next!! Posted by Picasa

My Daughter is a Genius!!

Ok I may be exaggerating just a little bit Morgan did make all A's on her report card and did win a writing contest at her school. There was a winner in each grade and she won for 4th grade. Her picture is posted on her school's website if you want to check it out. http://www.cobb.k12.ga.us/~varner/

Sorry it has been forever and a year since I posted last and yes I do have tons to catch up on. Evan's t-ball games, Mom's 60th b-day party w/ pictures and John, Kelly, and the kid's visit w/ pictures as well.

Evan and T-Ball

For those of you who don't know what Evan's favorite color is it's PINK. Well as any worried parents of a boy what do you do? You go and sign him up for t-ball!! We did ask him before if he would like to play baseball like Zach and Cody and he said yes. Well when I came home and told him I signed him up to play he said and I quote "I don't like baseball". You know it just wouldn't have been Evan if he didn't say that. I just love that little shit. We don't know when practice starts but I will keep you posted. Cross your fingers and pray that he likes it! Oh, and another quote from my other little shit Morgan (about Evan liking pink)......"Mommy, I don't want a brother-in-law". Am I doing something wrong?

Todd got a New Job!!

Todd started his new job at Kemira on Wednesday and is loving it. The really good part is his office is only about 5 miles from where I work. He went from about a 1 hr and 45 minute commute to a 30 min. commute. If he needed some sort of sign to see if he made the right decision to change jobs, on his first day there 285 was completely shut down. For those of you who don't know, that is the way he would have taken to UPS. Oh, and the $$$ isn't to bad either :) The other thing is that we can meet for lunch now and he can actually make it to the kid's after school activities. He is so much happier and I am so proud of him!

Morgan's New Look

Did I mention Morgan got her hair cut? Well she did and here she is! It didn't take much convincing her. I just said it would make her look older and it's always neat going back to school after a long break with a new look. Posted by Picasa

The Crime Scene

Here is the famous fountain! I wanted to get a picture before the girls got into everything but everyone but one girl showed up early. What is so hard to understand 7pm. Not 6:30! Needless to say they stood there like vultures waiting for me to put everything out. By the looks of it I think the junk food was a success. Oh, and I also made pigs in the blanket just to clarify that they had some type of real food....hehe! Posted by Picasa

Slumber Party

All I can say is that it took the adults all night to put a dent a the chocolate fondue fountain and it took the girls about an hour. I think they all had a great time and some of the girls never went to sleep. Actually everyone is still here and I think I'm going to go and blow my brains out any second!!!! What was I thinking? I thought as the girls got older things would be easier but I was way off on that one. I can't wait till everyone goes home so I can go to bed. I'm so tired :( Posted by Picasa

The Little Gym

Morgan's last day at the Little Gym. She has been going there for about 2 years and learned her basic skills and now she is moving on to something bigger and better. Hopefully she will learn some new stuff at her new gym. Posted by Picasa

And to all a good night.....

Evan is so ready to go home. I bet he was the hardest working 4 year old opening presents around the world. When we got home he told Todd to take his shoes and socks off and to get his jamas. He was out before his head hit the pillow. Posted by Picasa

What's for Dinner????

This one is for Jeni! Mom cooked a great dinner as usual. Well she did the ham, scalloped potatoes, slaw, and green beans but I bought the rest of the sides at Honey Baked Ham with a gift certificate that work gave me. Pretty good stuff for being store bought. But hey, you all know I have no problems what so ever buying my meals. Posted by Picasa

OMG - This is Morgan in five or six years!!

This if Crystal, my cousin Zach's girlfriend. She is so just so sweet. She came over to Mom's with Cathy and the boys and we all just had a great time. Sweet girl is just all I can say about her. Oh, and Evan really likes her too. Posted by Picasa

Pretty in Pink

It's official! For all of you who knows that Morgan could not stand the color pink she has now stated she LIKES it! I am so happy to say she did not got one thing blue this year and was just tickled everytime she opened something and it was pink. Well she did get a Nintendo DS that was blue but I don't think that counts:) My pretty little girl in pink... Posted by Picasa

Look Mommy I got a Car!

Evan was having a great time at Mom's house opening up his gifts. I think Santa thought Evan lived there too:) Posted by Picasa

Todd's Favorite Present of All Time!!!!!

This is what Todd's parents got him for Christmas. Needless to say Todd was overjoyed and I think he even got tears in his eyes when he opened it.....hehe! Posted by Picasa

Just what I wanted!!

This is one of Evan's new tracks he got this Christmas. One of four. Todd swears he had this same one last year but I think it is a little different. His other one did not have the road going around it. We did remember why we didn't like it though, the damn thing kept coming apart. So as all parents would do, we got the super glue out and glued the entire thing. Problem solved and Evan loves his new "garage". Posted by Picasa

Christmas Morning

Morgan had a great Christmas! I couldn't tell you how many times she said said call 911 because I'm having a heart attack! I think over all she was very pleased with Santa's work Posted by Picasa

"Big City Man"

Evan played till he dropped today! Todd and Evan have been playing some game on the computer together for the last two weeks. I don't know the real name of the game but Evan calls it "Big City Man". It is some game where they drive a car around blowing up things. I'm such a great mom- hehe! As soon as Todd walks in the door at night Evan is pulling him down stairs saying over and over "big city man, big city man daddy. What good bonding time. Cars and explosions, what could two boys ask for :) Posted by Picasa

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Here is our christmas tree which I just notice we forgot to put the top on it it. Crap! The topper is sitting on the table next to the tree. Evan likes to play with it because it is Santa. I figured it wasn't worth the fight to take it away from him. You know Evan...... Posted by Picasa
