Take me out to the ballgame....

Todd and Evan had a boys night out at the Braves game earlier this week and had great time. Todd got some really great seats about five or six rows back from the field, right on the third baseline and right next to the National's dugout. Evan scored pretty big with a Jeff Francoeur baseball jersey, a free t-shirt that the Braves throw up into the stands, a pack of baseball cards, and a major league baseball that a player for the Nationals had given to a teenage boy that gave the ball to Evan. How sweet of him. You would not believe the great baseball player Evan has become. He is playing short stop this season and has had about 20 coach pitch hits this season. His team is 12 and 0 and are just a great little group of kids. But I do have to add one thing. We believe MiMi Sue is Evan's good luck charm because Evan is on six hit hitting streak and playing like a major leaguer since she has been here ;) All in all, Todd and Evan had a fantastic time and enjoyed some much deserved big boy time together.

She Made It!!!!!

Morgan made both squads she tried out for yesterday. She will be cheering for football and on the competition squad. Way to go Morgan, I knew you could do it. Woohoo!!

That time of year again!

Morgan had cheerleading try-out yesterday and we are anxiously awaiting the results. We will not find until tomorrow morning if she made it. To add to the stress, she also tried out for the competition squad as well. She says she thinks she did pretty good and that she also landed her round off back handspring. Yeah!! So keep your fingers crossed and we'll post an update as soon as we find out!

We are sad today, and we will be sad for quite a while. We are not moving on, we are embracing our mourning.

We know we did nothing to deserve it, but neither does a child in Africa dying of AIDS, neither do the invisible children walking the night away to avoid being captured by the rogue army, neither does the baby elephant watching his community being devastated for ivory, neither does the Mexican child looking for fresh water, neither does the Appalachian infant killed in the middle of the night in his crib in the home his father built with his own hands being run over by a boulder because the land was destabilized. No one deserves a tragedy.

We are Virginia Tech.

The Hokie Nation embraces our own and reaches out with open heart and hands to those who offer their hearts and minds. We are strong, and brave, and innocent, and unafraid. Don't ya just love my cute little bunny that Aunt Jeni and Uncle Dean gave my on their last visit. It even has my name on one ear and my birthday on his other cute little long ear that I just love to kiss and drool all over on! OH, and my Mommy says that he makes my eyes look super duper blue.

Jeni and Dean are here visiting and getting to see Branden for the first time. Morgan and Evan are so excited to see them and Evan is putting on a such a great show. Now for the real reason I am posting this update is to pass along this very informative information. Here ya go....

Now aren't you relieved knowing this small piece of trivia? Ok I suck at telling jokes but this one just about made me pee my pants.

I can always count on Jeni and Dean to make me laugh so hard that tears are pouring down my face because I can't breath and my jaws and ribs hurt the next day from smiling and laughing so much and so hard. What lucky and blessed people we are to have such great friends in our lives that bring us so much happiness and laughter. Not a whole lot more a person could ask for.

This is the best big sister ever! I just love it when she holds me so
I can get close enough to stare at her pretty face. I just love her.....

Ok now, this is the coolest big brother you will ever meet. I mean this boy never stops except to give me hugs and kisses. I try really hard to give him kisses back but sometimes I miss. It sure is a good thing he understands that I'm just a tiny baby and I can't quite keep up with him yet but I'm watching and learning so just watch world!

And Baby Makes Five....

Happy Birthday Branden Tyler King

Weighing in at 8lbs/1oz and 19 1/2 inches long on October 29th at 5:36 pm Branden finally made his entrance into our big world. Baby and Mommy are healthy and happy and doing great. Sorry it has taken me so long to get some pictures up but this 3rd kid is kicking our butts. I keep telling Todd that I don't think having a third baby is all that hard, I just think we are just too old this time around ;) Hope you all enjoy and thank you for all your warm thoughts and prayers.

Baby Update

OK.....no baby yet but we are progressing in the right direction. As of 11:30 this morning I had dilated to three centimeters (out of ten) and my cervix is "nice and soft"! But the best part is if I do not have this baby boy over the weekend then I am going to be induced on Monday! From my other two experiences whenever the doctor spoke of inducing both Morgan and Evan made their appearance before the induction date. So I am pretty much thinking this weekend plus I have been having contractions all day, just not consistent. So keep baby in your thoughts and prayers and can't wait to post some pictures of our new little one.
